- Assess your credit and finances: check your credit reports and make
any repairs if necessary
-Talk to a mortgage broker/lender and get pre-approved for a
mortgage. They can also assist you with down payment and closing costs
programs like THDA, The Housing Fund, etc.
-Work the numbers: after you have been pre-approved, figure out if you
are comfortable with the monthly payment including taxes, insurance
and HOA fees (if applicable)
-Do some research: check out neighborhoods by driving around and
speaking with friends and family. It can also help to do a little research
online as well. Keep in mind your commute and school zones!
-Contact us: after you have been pre-approved and have a good idea
of what neighborhood/area is best for you, give us a call or email with
your criteria and we will take over from there!
